Our Beyond Boundaries Project has been running since 2010. The project aims to work with young people to raise aspirations, broaden horizons, and increase world awareness and to motivate lasting changing. By working alongside local authorities we aim to provide a new exciting way to work with young people.
Basti Ram work with the young people and local authorties over 6 months with regular workshops focused around international development, current social issues, their teaching placement, Basti Ram's role in the UK and India, the communities we work with in India and general preparation. Team building challenges and fundraising activties are also incorporated into the project.
The second Beyond Boundaries (2011) project was approved by The Young Explorer's Trust (YET) of conforming to the British Standard specification for the provision of visits, fieldworks, expeditions, and adventurous activities outside the UK (BS8848). We now make sure all our projects follow this standard. To view the certificate click here.
We are always looking to replicate this project, if you are a local authority or youth group and interested or want to know more information please email info@bastiram.org
